“For the Love of Horses”
is an opportunity for our community of horse lovers, to gather in one location for an afternoon.
Our goal for this event is to:
Proceeds from the event will be donated to our local non-profit Heroes and Horses. Heroes and Horses is a program which utilizes expedition-style horse pack trips (led by experienced instructors, many of whom are combat veterans and program graduates themselves) to teach self-reliance, teamwork, and perseverance. The veterans are tasked with various objectives that require them to look within themselves in order to overcome obstacles. The connection that is formed with their horses, as well as the other team members, is not unlike the familiar sense of brotherhood that they experienced while in service, and it is a bond that, for many, remains intact well after the completion of the program. This unique experience challenges these individuals evokes change and helps them to develop new ways to approach and solve problems. By challenging what challenges them, veterans can make peace with their past and replace devastating memories with positive ones.
You’ll get to see a live demonstration of a horse undergoing an Endoscopy. Listen to our Board-Certified Equine Surgeon discuss the best nutrition for your specific horse(s), how to identify digestive issues before they affect your horse’s wellbeing.
Bring the family and your appetite. We will be celebrating our time together with live music, a bounce house, snow cones, yummy food, a hot air balloon raffle, and lots of giveaways!
Support our vendors that are continually bringing us high-quality products and services that enhance the lives of our horses.
