Dr. Kayla Pederson grew up in Billings, Montana, and has been gaining experience in veterinary medicine since the age of 14 through work and shadowing opportunities in a variety of clinics. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences with a Pre-Veterinary emphasis from Montana State University, graduating in Fall 2019. While at MSU, Dr. Pederson worked part-time at Hardaway Veterinary Hospital as a kennel technician and veterinary assistant. She also participated in the WIMU regional veterinary education program and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University.
Dr. Pederson’s professional interests include small animal internal medicine, neurology, small animal surgery, and equine medicine. She is delighted to return to Hardaway Veterinary Hospital as an associate veterinarian.
Outside of work, Dr. Pederson enjoys spending time outdoors, trail running with her dogs, big game hunting, and snowmobiling with her husband.
